1883 FOODS FREEZE DRIED PRODUCTS:

​

1883 Foods produces freeze dried fruits, vegetables, and snacks using a small batch processing method. We have quantities available in stock for most of our products on hand and we run new batches constantly to replenish what we sell. In a big freeze drying facility that does mass production runs at one time, that product can then sit on a shelf in a warehouse or distribution center for weeks or months before reaching you.

 

Our products by contrast are sold about as fast as we make them so you receive the freshest freeze dried products that we can provide. Again, many items are in stock but if we are out of a particular product at the time that you place your order you can rest assured that it will be getting produced and packaged and on its way to you within just a few days. We can also do custom production runs if you are looking to order large quantities of a particular product. Because of how we produce our freeze dried products we are certain you will never have a quality complaint but if you do, contact us so we can make it right for you. 1883 FOODS FRESH MUSHROOMS:

Our fresh mushroom varieties are generally available year round for most of our species with a few seasonal exceptions due to their specific growing conditions. You will find our mushrooms available through our website for area deliveries, scheduled picks ups and drop off locations and local farmers markets and public events during certain times of the year. We will post and update to our blog any public locations where you can pick up our fresh mushrooms so please keep an eye on our blog and subscribe to our notification to keep updated. Our mushrooms are harvested at just the right time when their quality and flavor are at their peak (usually within 24 hours of when you receive them).

 

This is done to ensure you receive the best product, with the best shelf life so you can enjoy them when you want. Almost all of the mushrooms from local grocery stores come from large distributorships and can be as much as 7-10 days old before you even see them on the shelves, that is not the case with us being your local source. Because of how our production runs, how we plan our events and sales opportunities we are certain you will never have a quality complaint. If for some reason you are not 100% happy with our product then contact us so we can make it right for you. Your satisfaction with our products is 100% guaranteed.

1883 FOODS MYCELIUM CULTURE PRODUCTS:

​

1883 Foods guarantees that the cultures that you receive from us will be 100% pure strain isolates from 1st or 2nd generation cultures grown out by us, in our lab environment. At the time that you receive your culture it will arrive free from defects in quality and will have passed our quality inspections. In the event that you receive a product that appears to be damaged in any way, you must notify us immediately via email to sales@1883foods.com  detailing the problems noted when it arrived.

As discussed elsewhere on our site, we regularly test all mycelium products for viability, quality, and productivity. Mycelium cultures are the same exact species and strains that we use in our own production. Mycelium is a very unique product in how resilient it can be while still being very fragile. It is expected that if you are purchasing mycelium cultures that you posses the knowledge and experience needed in sterile techniques to properly work with these cultures. That having been said, we do offer a 100% guarantee on your cultures and should you experience any issues with them, please contact us immediately so we can identify the problem and resolve the issue. This not only benefits us but can also help us to identify an issue that may be experienced by other customers as well. We will refund (shipping cost excluded)  or replace your culture free of charge as your satisfaction is our number one goal.

1883 Foods provides the following general guidelines for mycelium culture storage: Cultures can be stored at general room temperature (65 – 75 degrees), cultures will generally continue to expand in the culture form (for example: liquid culture form). Cultures stored at room temperature should be out of direct sunlight and used within 2 weeks. With a few exceptions most cultures can be stored in a refrigerator between 38-48 degrees and should be used within 60 days. The culture should be brought back up to room temperature prior to use. Cultures not used within 30 days may exhibit reduced production if compared to a fresh culture sample. 1883 Foods can not guarantee the quality or quantity of mushrooms produced by one of our cultures as there are simply too many variables that factor into the end result and these variables are outside of 1883 Foods control. For cultures that have different storage or use parameters outside of the above, this information will be listed under additional details in the store when purchasing your culture.

 

 

1883 FOODS SUPPLIES AND GENERAL MERCHANDISE:

Refunds / Replacement of all other hand made products (excluding mycelium, covered above) and general supplies either direct from us or through outside vendors are handled through customer initiated requests. Customers may initiate a request for Refund / Replacement by sending an email to sales@1883foods.com detailing the request and the issue with the order, product, or service. Upon receipt of the email we will then review the information provided and will work with you as our customer to reach an acceptable resolution. This resolution may include but is not limited to carrier damage claims, supplier damage claims, or defective products. You may at the discretion of 1883 Foods be allowed to keep the product and we will pay for the costs to replace the product or we may require you to return the product to us as part of the resolution. You will be responsible for the return shipping costs of the defective product if that is required. We will be responsible for the replacement shipping costs to replace the damaged product. We strive to ensure that you are pleased with all of your interactions with us and we value the cultivation of a long business relationship with you.

Lastly, we may from time to time contact you to determine if you have had issues with any of our product offerings or to seek your opinions and feedback on our site, products, services, and communications. As a result of those contacts we may find that other customers may have had an issue with a product that you have also purchased (lot/batch product for example) and we may may initiate a replacement or refund of a product with you to ensure that you always receive the best level of products and services from us that we can provide.

General Terms:

​

All refunds are limited to the purchase price paid for the product purchased and 1883 Foods is not liable for any loses incurred by you in the use of our products. Purchaser agrees that they will be using our products for lawful purposes only and hold harmless 1883 Foods for any claims of liability or damage. ​Exchanges are limited to replacement or exchange for the same, like product as the original order.

We do track all customer refunds for all of our products and during the refund/replace process to help identify if this policy is being abused. If we determine this policy is being abused then we reserve the right to modify this policy or deny future refund/replacement requests; in whole or part at our sole discretion.
